Nick began his property career in 2005 at Mouchel in Manchester as a general practice surveyor undertaking a wide range of valuation and transactional instructions for a variety of private and public sector clients. Following qualification to MRICS in 2008, Nick moved to CBRE Manchester in 2011 where he joined the Operational Real Estate Team to focus across the alternative and operational property sectors.

Nick’s focus initially was valuation and agency, but his role quickly developed into agency transactions focussing on licensed leisure to include pubs, bars, restaurants, roadside, leisure leasing and acquisitions/disposals for a range of UK corporate pub and hospitality clients.

Over the course of the next 10 years, Nick rose to the position of Associate Director and broadened his sector experience to include hotels, student accommodation, healthcare and residential block disposals including supported housing. Working with large institutional, operators, regional prop co’s and private clients, Nick gained a highly important understanding of the North West market and driving value from operational assets with a focus on leasing, sales, development and investment transactions.

In mid-2023, Nick left to create LBL Real Estate Ltd, a boutique operational property consultancy to provide bespoke, high-quality, no-nonsense advice to a range of established national and regional clients. LBL’s focus will continue to be leasing, disposals, acquisitions, investment transactions, advisory and lease consultancy advice to key clients throughout the North West and Midlands.

Nick lives in Bollington, on the edge of the Peak District and in his spare time enjoys hiking, cycling, snowboarding, watching live music and going to the pub.
